I’ve now added motors to my robot hand! there are only three servos at the moment so not all the fingers have independent movement and as they are connected via string there are still a few improvements that will need to me made but it works!! I have used an Arduino board and the fingers are controlled via switches, so press and hold the button down to move the finger, let go and the motor will release, returning the finger to its original state. Check out the video and images below to see it working! This is the latest project i am working on, the purpose is simply to mimic the finger movements of the human hand. It is made from very basic materials and so some movements are not possible i.e moving fingers apart. but all other movements are possible, (currently controlled via pulling the string!) So now the hand has been created time to get down to the movements! progress will be updated here! |
